DS ClubCar 48v Upgrading to Navitas 440 and heavy-duty solenoid

I am upgrading to Navitas and Modz heavy-duty solenoid. I have seen videos and no one uses diode and resistor on solenoid. I also saw something that said they are not required on IQ system carts is that correct.

the diode and resistor are not really needed they can be removed
